Charlotte and Rich had their wedding at Quissett Harbor House in Falmouth, MA. It’s only steps from Charlotte’s family’s home and right across the harbor from her family’s boatyard. It’s also where we did their engagement session on a rainy evening, which you can see here! There were so many personal elements to the day, including the bridesmaids riding across the harbor in a boat and Charlotte’s father officiating the ceremony. With Rich being from England, there were fancy accents and witty banter galore and the energy that gathered for them on this day was one of overwhelming support and joy. It is always an honor to witness two people who truly and passionately love each other and have an extremely loving community all around them. This was one of those days. You would never know it but on the night that we did their engagement session, which was also about a week before their wedding, a violent storm rolled through the cape and actually snapped the main pole in their reception tent. Fortunately Sperry Tents were quick to respond and erected a new tent in time for the wedding. The day was smoothly coordinated by the wonderful and talented Kate from Kate Davis Events. Charlotte and Rich… Thank you so much for allowing us to capture such a special time in your lives! Dressing Charlotte’s boat up! A sisterly lick. Charlotte wore a diamond brooch that belonged to her mother’s mother.
