Jill and Scott are Bostonians who were married up in Maine at a charming church in Scarborough and had their reception at Grace Restaurant. Grace was originally built as a church in the 1800’s and has been beautifully converted and preserved as a restaurant. It was a gorgeous day to be in Portland and this was magnified by the love and smiles that were found everywhere you looked. After their first look at Grace, we got to walk around the city to make some portraits. Later that night during the reception, the groom Scott surprised Jill by appearing at the piano and serenading her in front of all their friends and loved ones. He hadn’t sung in a really long time but wanted to do something that he knew would be very special for Jill. Though there were about 200 people in the room, Jill’s sole focus was on her new husband. She laughed, she cried and the whole room melted. What a wonderful wedding it was! Jill and Scott, thank you so much for allowing us to be part of such a special time in your lives.
